Disabled Access

At Arthurs, we have made various provisions for disability requirements. The property is listed so it has been a juggle with building control, listed buildings /HED and disability concerns.

We have no internal lift.

Our front door has a small step, and we ask that guests requiring wheelchair access to please get in touch in advance that we can arrange the ramp to be in place. The door is suitably wide but we also prefer to rearrange a few tables to suit comfortable access, so booking in advance is advised for our coffee shop.

Residents staying overnight have a suitable room in the lower ground floor (subject to availability) which is fully compliant. To access this, you must go down the side entry to the left of the building (beware of slight decline) and come through the rear entrance to bedroom no.2, Sandys Room.

Again, we must know the arrival time so that we can have the door open and the code provided.

Breakfast is back up the side entry and through the front door with ramp. We generally operate self check in but we have assistance nearby and all rooms have telephones provided.
